Taio Cruz went to Number 1 in America last week. Which is a big deal. We would like to salute, for the umpteenth time though it may be, our very own FRASER T SMITH who co-wrote and produced the track. Great stuff, Fraser.

To make matters even more exciting the song that knocked it off the number one spot, Rihanna’s ‘Rudeboy’, was co-written by Rob Swire of PENDULUM. This is like asking for a 99 flake and being given two flakes. And we’re enjoying the ice cream a lot.

Tinchy Stryder, Amelle and FRASER T SMITH  are number 1 in the charts this week!! Who is this mysterious third person (I hear you call in unison)? One of our much loved songwriters, that’s who. Fraser! Second time this year! Brilliant.

Currently gracing the airwaves on James Morisson’s ‘Broken Strings’ (co-written with the equally lovely Nina Woodford), Tinchy Stryder ft Taio Cruz ‘s ‘Take Me Back’, N Dubz’s ‘Strong Again’ and Tinchy Stryder ft N Dubz’s ‘Number One’, Fraser is an extremely cherished writer here at Chrysalis.

In the last year alone he has written for Kano, Craig David, Tinchy Stryder, Nelly Furtado, Sam Beeton, Lacy Lace, N Dubz, Zarif and I Haunt Wizards (what a name). The job of a writer tends to be a pretty anonymous one, so we would like to take this moment to shout across the A40 – Fraser!

Fraser T Smith. On this Friday we salute you. Fullly and fervently.
