It’s been a wonderful run. We started in November 2008 with a modest plan to blog, to dare to dream, to delve deep into the world of our artists and reveal tit bits to you, to scream of new releases from the rooftops, to dip into archives, to find funny links, to post playlists, to make you laugh, weep, discover..
It’s been a beautiful journey. But all good things must come to an end. We have been burrowed away building a new website and now the bubble wrap is removed, the url created and the blog MOVED. YES! MOVED! So you can still find out about all our news and playlists and releases and songs and signings and general frivolous banter! But from now on you need to look for it HERE. not here, but HERE.
So, internet companions dear to our hearts look no further on this blog of little rejuvenation. Seek all on the new blog HERE.
It could be the smartest thing you’ll ever do.

We should probably be talking about Glastonbury and how sunny it was and how Florence’s eyebrow shaving made her look like a longer haired mid 70s David Bowie and how much we like David Bowie, but instead let us take you back a year and re-fill your ears with a little EDWARD SHARPE & THE MAGNETIC ZEROS. Have you seen them live? Heard them? Watched the videos? Holy hell, you should because their music is really something.

Here is a picture of a 16 year old with a moustache (what’s he looking at?)
And here are the links:
LEFTFIELD and APHEX TWIN storming at Rockness (it rhymes with Loch Ness) // BLONDIE give them a grand old show at the Isle of Wight festival // BILLY IDOL does his own introductions at Download and plays a 20 minute version of Dancing with Myself amongst other things // THE HORRORS speak out against whale hunting (musically) // More praise for I AM KLOOT after their album launch at Bush hall last week // And, most importantly, Gareth makes friends with Slash at Download. Yesssss!

No, not in a Enya-in-the-bath-with-radox-and-candles sense. More in that mode of 6am sunrise Ibiza, let’s reward our tired legs and cold sweaty brows with blissful, chilled dance magic. We aren’t in Ibiza, or recovering from (too) wild a party. But somehow today this just makes sense. Put your feet up and enjoy. Simply click HERE.

- I Am Kloot at Bush Hall. IPhone picture fail – Steve Jobs will undoubtedly be turning in his poloneck
Still, photos aside, I AM KLOOT were in tremendous form last night in front of an adoring crowd in She Bu. They played the forthcoming LP, ‘Sky at Night’, in full with a cast of extras on strings, tenor sax, piano and guit. Magic. Then they played forty five minutes on top full of old favs - among them ’proof’, ‘storm coming’, ‘to you’, ‘titanic’ and, for the 2nd encore, ’86 tvs’. Andy Hargreaves drummed with an unshakeable grin on his face throughout. Entirely similar to how the crowd watched.
Found a nice little album preview on t’internet. Check it out.

This is quite old now but VERY good (Rather like Helen Mirren or the invention of bread). But we publish all the music of the show through Mushroom in Australia, which is most exciting. Particularly when you contemplate a lyric like ‘Annabel Dixon, when girls take drugs and then they die, who would have thought, at Summer Heights High’. Anyway, if you don’t know this then get involved. And let Mr G entertain you on youtube..

Something we’re enjoying today from across the North Sea, a little SHANE SHU. I like it for the (obscene) quiff and the girl who is WELL buff. Also it’s got an undeniably superb chorus.
In other news: CANDIE PAYNE does a very nice session at Abbey Rd // THE BIG PINK cover Beyonce at Isle of Wight festival // and DELOREAN pack the Echo in LA with plenty of dancing hipsters. oh yeah.
Now grab your brollys and run for home, sun-denied people of Britain.
